DeLucia's
Berry Farm, in operation since 1976, began as a grower of raspberries
and strawberries. Initially, we sold directly to local residents,
but soon local restaurants and produce markets found us, and
our wholesale business became our primary customer base.

In addition to raspberries and strawberries, we now grow blueberries,
blackberries, and gooseberries. We use no pesticides and we
are Rhode Island Certified Organic.

In
1992, we began processing our surplus berries in a rented State
Licensed kitchen. Due to the high quality of our products, we
soon found a very strong demand for our jams and jellies. In
the summer of 1998, working closely with the Rhode Island Department
of Health, we finished construction of our own modern kitchen
facility right here on the farm.

While
we do virtually no advertising, our customer base has spread
through word of mouth . Our expansion has been intentionally
slow, being careful not to overextend ourselves or compromise
our quality.
